Refund policy
Revised on October 15, 2026
Reading Squirter, keeping a reader account and receiving the newsletter cost nothing. This policy covers the paid featured placements only: Creator Spotlight for creators, and Brand Featured and Brand Partner for brands.
How billing works
Each placement is bought for a monthly or a yearly term. We send an invoice that states the placement, the term and the amount, and it is settled in cryptocurrency. The placement goes live once the payment is confirmed and stays live until the last day of the term. Your plan continues each term: before a term ends we send the next invoice, and the new term begins once it is paid. To stop, tell us before the new term starts or leave the invoice unpaid.
Every payment is final
Once a term is paid, the money is not returned. This applies to a change of plans, to a placement you stop using, to choosing the wrong term, to traffic or sales lower than you hoped, and to a listing you later decide to take down. The placement is delivered in full from the first day, so the price is earned from that day.
The three exceptions
- Double charge. The same invoice or the same term was paid twice. We send back the second payment.
- Unauthorised charge. A payment was made without your permission and you can prove it with the transaction records.
- Complete failure of the service. Squirter was unavailable for a sustained period so that your placement could not be shown at all, and we were unable to restore it. We return the share of the price that covers the time affected.
No other situation leads to a refund. Any amount returned is limited to what was paid for the term concerned and goes back in cryptocurrency to a wallet you name.
Stopping a placement
You can tell us at any time that you do not want another term. That stops the next term from starting. It does not return any part of the term you are already in, and the placement stays visible until that term ends.
Consumers in the European Union
If you buy as a consumer in the European Union, the law normally gives you 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. When paying the invoice you ask us to start the placement immediately and you confirm that you know this means losing that right. Your right of withdrawal ends as soon as the placement starts.
Making a claim
Write to [email protected] from the email address used for the invoice, quote the invoice number and explain which exception applies. We check the payment records and reply with a decision.
